This policy covers the following applications owned and operated by PIXOWL INC: The Addams Family: Mystery Mansion, Peanuts: Snoopy’s Town Tale and Goosebumps: Horror Town (“the Applications”).

We take your privacy seriously. This privacy statement applies only to the collection and use of information in the Applications listed. The Applications are for all ages but we are aware that some younger users may want to play and therefore we have provided a restricted version for them.

We may make changes to this policy from time to time so please be sure to check regularly. If we make a material change we will post notice prior to making the change. If we have your contact details we will contact you before we make the change.

Information we collect

The applications do not actively collect information from users 13 and under. The Application collects localization information, device model, OS version, IP address, UDID and geolocation information at country or state level. Younger users are unable to create an account or access sharing features within the Application.

Service Providers

We work with some third party service providers in relation to children 13 years of age or under. Younger users are unable to access sharing features within the Applications.

These ad networks serve contextual ads and do not share user data with any other third parties. For more information on these third party service providers, please review their privacy policies:

We work with Crashlytics to help report bugs and game crashes. Crashlytics does not collect any custom data. For more information, please see the Crashlytics privacy policy: http://try.crashlytics.com/terms/

We work with Google Analytics for Firebase. Google Analytics uses the data to provide analytics and attribution information. The precise information collected can vary by device and environment. An IP address, to determine a user’s country, and non-personal usage data is collected for users aged 13 and under in the US. We work with Helpshift for customer support. We use the enableFullPrivacy flag to ensure that personal information is not collected through the Helpshift dashboard. For more information, please review Helpshift’s privacy policy: https://www.helpshift.com/privacypolicy/

We work with IAB Open Measurement for Ad quality measurement, ad analytics, ad fraud prevention and quality control. IAB Open Measurement does not collect personal information.

We may include links to third parties from the website or services. We aren’t responsible for these companies and because we have a link doesn’t mean we endorse them.

Your use of our services may be subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of other services that we don’t control such as mobile app stores, mobile software platforms or payment processors.

Security

The Applications use generally accepted security measures and safeguards in an attempt to keep the data it collects secure and requires that the third parties it works with agree to do the same. The measures and safeguards include limiting access to the data to those persons who need it to complete their work for the Applications and using a fire-wall protected environment and storing personal information in secure operating environments.

Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

1. We process the following (categories of) personal data

When you play our games, connect to a social networking site through our games, register an account, enter a promo code, or place an order, we process the following personal data:

  • Your IP address, and the country,
  • Your device type (for example, iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy S7) and operating system version.
  • Your Game Center ID (for iOS games) or Google Play ID (for Android games).
  • When you connect to Facebook or Game Center, or other social platforms, we access your profile, including your username, email address and friends list.
  • For analytics, most, when you installed and played the game, your progress throughout the game, and events that are connected to your game-play. We generally cannot identify you with this data, but treat it the same as personal data.
  • For advertising, We may use collected IDFAs to (re)target users on advertising platforms.

We do not collect, store or share data used by ARKit, Camera APIs, Photo APIs, or other software for depth of facial mapping information, TrueDepth API, HomeKit, Keyboard extensions, Apple Pay, Stickers and iMessage extensions.

2. What (purposes) do we use the data for

We use this personal data to perform analytics for our games and allow third-parties to sell, buy and deliver advertising in those games that display advertising.

We use social network data to show you personalized content and synchronise your online progression across multiple devices. For example, we might show a list with only your friends in it, or show your name or avatar on an in-game object.

We use your email address that you provided when you signed up for our newsletter to send you the newsletter.

3. What is our legal basis for the processing

For both analytics and advertising we base the processing of personal data on the legitimate interest of PIXOWL, INC.. For analytics, this is our ability to analyze how players progress through our games to make them better, and to know our player-base on an aggregate level. For advertising, this is our ability to be able to off-set development costs and risk with advertising income.

For the third-parties we use, their legitimate interest is to be able to offer us their services, and for advertising third-parties and advertisers to be able to show you advertising.

We store the personal data that we collect for up to 5 years, and only aggregate data after that time. Aggregation data means that we can no longer look at data for individual players.

When a third-party service provider is a controller, they may keep data as well, either for a shorter or longer period.

6. What safeguards have we taken to protect data

Taking into account the nature, scope, context and purpose of the processing, we have taken the following technical and organizational measures:

  • Access to our database and user accounts with third-party service providers is protected with access control.
  • Access to the database is limited, not all staff in our organization have full access.
  • Data sent from our games is encrypted in transit where technically possible.

We do not actively monitor the security of our databases and need to rely on our processors to notify us of any data breaches.

When we transfer this data, we will do so only when we have put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data. You have the right to request access to your personal data that we process. You also have the right to:
